Acunpunture: One Needle Prick at A Time - Risks & Benefits

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine that has been in use for thousands of years. It involves the insertion of extremely fine tiny needles through the skin at stragetic points on your body.
Are there any risks???
The risks of acupuncture are low if you have it done by a competent , certified acupuncture practitioner. Possible side effects and complications include sores, infections, bleeding disorders and organ injury if the needle is pushed too deeply into the body. These risks are however rarely experienced.
The benefits of this procedure are sometimes difficult to measure, but many people find it helpful as a means to control a variety of painful conditions. There’s also evidence that acupuncture works best in people who expect it to work.
With the strong effects of acupuncture, it may be worth a try if you’re having trouble controlling pain with more conventional medicine - It’s just a needle prick away!
